Lip Sync

Lip Sync

Where I have animated over a audio clip with just one line, the voice over chosen for this is the 'Oh yeah' from the music video of 'Oh Yeah' by Yello mainly because of how these two words have be given a bit more time and how certain sound of them are slightly silent.

The other video at the bottom has a small sample of just having the line when I was searching through Youtube and have downloaded it through a website by the converting the video to a MP3.

In order to sync the animation with the voice over I had to look over a mouth chart and a few others to see if there are any slight different from each other. Examining through these charts I begin to see that some mouth movements would sometimes have have the bottom or top and tongue either appearing together or separate to correspond with one of the letters, though there is a fair amount between the top teeth and tongue together siding with both the top and bottom teeth present with the tongue. A few other mouth movements respond differently where the tongue is only present but the mouth is stretched out and other times where both teeth's collide together or the mouth is completely sealed.

After gather the information I needed, my first step was to map out the mouths that are match up with the letters.

The video above is the original Animation with no sound, exported it again intended to have sound through adobe animate only to have no sound at all and I have tried a few times exported it along with the animation and tried change the publishing settings to speech 44khz for both audio stream and event (the image below) but there was still no sound and left with the only option to exporting it through adobe premier pro in the end.

These other videos are other versions of the animation with the sound the main one is the fourth version only having slight changes to it timing with the sound, these three version of the videos is where you will slightly notice that the animation is not in sync with the sound.
Version 1

Version 2

Version 3

The result of the animation of the mouth left me a bit satisfied though I do think that I could change the mouth movements for example starting with the 'Oh' by having the mouth travel in a circular way and having the mouth start at a small scale and would later srtetch out and have that same animation stlye for the 'Yeah' making the deliver of the sound look more sexual maching with the tone of the voice giving the mouth some characteristc through it movements.
